I received my Masters in Architecture from the University of Maryland in 1987.
I have been a practicing architect for over 20 years, first in Arlington, Virginia and since 1992
in Portland, Oregon. I am a registered architect in the State of Oregon and have had my own solo practice since 2001.
I have spent the vast majority of my time working on residential architecture, specifically
helping clients remodel their homes.
As a solo architect, I have personal responsibility for all aspects of my practice.
Unlike most residential architects, I also do the vast majority of the engineering design
and structural calculations on my projects - both ensuring efficient and timely project delivery,
and informing the designs with practical structural reality. In contrast with most solo practices,
I have carried Errors and Omissions Liability Insurance since I started my firm in 2001.
I have never faced a claim.
